Just a Harmless Little Heist....

Alistair promptly fell asleep under his wing.

Siegfried gathered some wood and set it up in the middle of the island, just in case they needed extra warmth at some point that night. He also decided to direct the watches that night; deciding Brandice and Sydney should take the first watch.

[.... where'd the scholar dude go? XD I forgot about him... oops. XP]

[ He's asleep with them. ]

Aliond slept peacefully with her.

[Okay then, good. XD]

Assuming the first watch was a quiet one, Clyde takes the next one with Kajaise.

During the second watch, the water begins to boil silently.

Clyde notices and points it out to Kajaise, telling her to go wake Siegfried. While she goes to do that, he remains crouched where he is, watching the edge of the forest.

Several large red sea snakes burst out of the water, roaring.

Clyde stares at them, still not moving from where he's crouched. Kajaise and Siegfried come up a moment later, and Kajaise promptly freezes the water around the snakes.

The others were wakened by the roaring, and come to see what's going on.

They're too fast, shattering the ice as it freezes, charging the party, shooting powerful jets of boiling water at them.

Clyde changes the make up of the island shield, making it to be like the one back when they were fighting Aliond- The further the snakes travel into the island, the more pain they're in. While he focuses on that, Siegfried focuses on diverting the majority of the water, though on such short notice he can't prevent some overspray from making contact.

More snakes pop out, launching a massive tidal wave at the island from all sides. Aliond shields Alistair with his wings.

Kajaise scowls and directs the water around the group. Alistair quickly drains the water from the circles, letting it soak into the ground and disappear.

The snakes vanish with the water.

Kajaise breathes out a sigh of relief, but frowns all the same. "Well the water was a great idea."

Clyde gives her a level look. "Nothing can be considered a perfectly good idea, when there is someone capable of using each idea against you."

The ground begins to shake.

Kajaise gives the area a, "Great, now what?" look. Siegfried takes control of the shield from Clyde, strengthening it and preparing for what might happen next.

A fissure opens, splitting the camp in two, separating the girls from the men.

Brandice's eyes widen and she debates between shying from the fissure and trying to jump across. Kajaise and Alistair join strength to attempt to reverse the splitting, and Sydney opens her wings slightly, both for balance and in preparation of possibly having to fly.

A blast of lava shoots upwards, the fissure cracking wider.

[ OYAN tsunami! ]

Siegfried and Clyde are very not happy with this turn of events. They attempt to divert the lava in a specific place to create an earthen bridge across to the girls.

The lava keeps rushing around any bridge they create, and the fissure keeps changing width, breaking their bridges.

Kajaise glared at the fissure, then motioned to the others. "We need to try and go around."

"Or over," Sydney suggested, squinting up at the wall of lava.

The girls suddenly found themselves in an underground cavern, plus Aliond.

Alistair remained close to Aliond, keeping one hand against his shoulder to help steady both herself, and his mental wall. Kajaise and Brandice gripped their respective swords tightly as they and Sydney studied the area.

Meanwhile, the lava wall dies down and the fissure closes.

Several of the rocks begin to move.

Clyde runs to where the girls had been, feeling the area in an attempt to find where they'd been taken.

Brandice stares at them hovering between fear and extreme irritation.
