Just a Harmless Little Heist....

He nodded, thinking. "Formidable, but it doesn't change our plans."

"Good." Siegfried rubbed his hands together. "It was not my intention to have you change the plans, merely to be informed of the enemy."

"Indeed." He rolled up the maps. "Let's move out."

Siegfried nodded and smiled, though he felt just a bit nervous about the mission. Being a little nervous wouldn't change anything though, he was ready to fight.

The captain lead them out, where his men already stood ready to march.

They followed, ready.

They quick-marched to the Red One's base.

Of the group, Siegfried and Clyde were the most eager, Brandice was also, though a bit hesitant after her last encounter with the Red One. The others, though not eager to fight, were, however, ready.

As they approached, the captain had his men split off and circle around.

As they did, Brandice, Clyde, and Siegfried began linking and stabilizing their minds for the battle.

They see a large obsidian tower ahead of them. The captain directs his men to prepare themselves.

The group prepare themselves as well.

The captain gives the order to charge, and they all rush forward. Immediately, fiendish creatures come out of the tower to counterattack.

The magician threesome charge into the thick of things, the others fight heartily also, though Sydney holds back a bit, as its hard for her to fight while still keeping her wings hidden.

Aliond has a pair of greatswords appear in his hands, the same bronze-y color as his armor, and he cleaves through the fiends, leading the pack towards the tower.

Alistair stays close, fighting with her staff and magic.

Aliond reaches the great doors, which had closed in their faces. He lets out a roar, and the shockwave buckles in the door.

The group continues fighting, pressing forward.

They hear screams as a huge blast of energy incapacitates one of the other groups.

Alistair flinches at the disturbance, but doesn't let it hold her back. Siegfried's jaw clenches as he increases the strength of the shield around their group. Stay on guard, he directs his team.

The captain and his men provide a useful buffer, letting the team cast offensive spells without having to defend themselves. Aliond leads them up the stairs.

Realizing this, Siegfried lowers his concentration on the shield quite a bit, but doesn't let it go altogether. The group follows Aliond up the stairs.

They reach the top of the stairs and step into hell. The floor is lava, the walls are fire, and the Red One sits on a throne of white-hot metal.

Siegfried takes a deep breath before stepping in, longsword in hand. Brandice and Clyde enter just behind him, Kajaise behind them, and Sydney bringing up the rear. Alistair stays near Aliond, bracing herself.
