Just a Harmless Little Heist....

Lezvie bent backwards, dodging it.

Nae followed with two more punches, one high, one low, focusing more on not telegraphing and less on perfect technique.

Lezvie blocked the low punch, then staggered back as Nae punched him in the face.

Nae jumped a bit, both surprised and glad she'd actually managed to get a strike in, and worried that she'd just punched her teacher in the face without pulling the strike. "Sorry." She winced.

"It's fine, it's fine." He pulled out a handkerchief and pressed it to his nose to stop the bleeding. "It was a good punch."

"I should've pulled it," Nae muttered, half to herself. But then, on second thought, he had knocked the air out of her earlier. A bloody nose made up for that pretty well. A grin crept over her face, and she ducked her head and scratched her ear in an attempt to hide it.

He grinned also. "There's that pretty smile."

Nae glanced up, still trying and failing to fend off the grin. She bit her lip. She shouldn't be grinning about bloodying someone's nose.

"If I was complaining about it, you shouldn't grin." Lezvie pulled away the kerchief to check if the bleeding had stopped. It had. "Since I'm not, it's funny."

"I guess." Nae smiled. "Least I didn't break your nose or something."

"Indeed." He pocketed the kerchief. "Shall we try a match?"

Nae hesitated. "If you think we should." Sparring matches were something she generally avoided, largely because she was tired of getting hurt during them, but also because she hated losing. However, if it would help her to improve..

Lezvie nodded and dropped into a fighting stance.

Nae gave a nearly inaudible sigh as she fell into stance. She could do this. Well, not really, but eventually it'd make her better at least. She nodded to herself and bounced slightly on her heels, ready.

Lezvie started with a sweeping roundhouse kick to the head.

Nae ducked, and charged in with a flurry of strikes to his midsection, taking advantage of the lesser balance due to the kick. Were she up against someone else, it would have been an excellent chance to take the match to the ground, but she'd already decided groundwork was something to be avoided against Lezvie.

Lezvie took a few staggering steps backwards, and lashed out with a few strikes and elbows.

Nae dropped to the ground into a spinning roundhouse aimed for his ankles.

[arg, having trouble figuring out how to explain what she's doing without using technical terms XP If something doesn't make sense just let me know... and just be glad I'm not explaining what she's doing in Japanese, like my sensei does =P ]

Lezvie jumped over it, tackling her.

Nae twisted and made an attempt to roll away from him.

He grabbed her around the waist and knocked her to the ground.

Nae hit the ground with a grunt, brows lowering in determination as she aimed a few strikes at him and searched for an opening to get back to her feet.

Lezvie is preoccupied with blocking her strikes, and unable to press the assault.

Without warning, Nae ceased her offensive and rolled backward, struggling to regain her footing. Lezvie had too much of an advantage on the ground for her to want to stick around any longer than necessary.

Lezvie jumped forward, kicking at her stomach.
