Just a Harmless Little Heist....

A dark grin spread across his face. "Watch me."

Kohl didn't return the grin, not seeing how this was at all a grinning matter, dark or otherwise.

"Tell me where the girl is, and I'll rescue her and shatter the mob."

Kohl shook her head, unbelieving. "You can't."

"If I'm right, the girl will be saved, the mob destroyed, and you'll be saved. If I'm wrong, you'll die whether or not you tell me. The only difference is whether your conscience will be clean."

Kohl is silent for several minutes, face unreadable. When she speaks, it is in almost a whisper. "If I am allowed to stay here until it is safe, there are two others who also must."

Lezvie nodded. "Where can I find them?"

Kohl clenched her jaw, fighting distrust and worry. "They're... They're at the Sunbrooke Apartments, room 253. Tell them 'c'est bon'." She took a deep breath and added quickly, before she lost her nerve, "The kidnapped girl is at 42365 East 94th Street, in the basement."

"Thank you." Lezvie unfastened her bonds and bandaged her wounds.

Before he bandages her wounds, she insists that she can do it and that he should get going.

He leaves her all of his medicinal supplies. He pauses at the door before he leaves. "I don't have to worry about you rabbitting, do I?"

Kohl gave a brief smile. "Maybe if I were feeling better. But at the moment, I don't think so."

He nodded and slipped out of the room, leaving it locked from the inside. He entered the common room, where the others were gathered. "The kidnapped girl is at 42365 East 94th Street, in the basement."

The group fell silent when he walked in. Mattias hesitated before asking, "Are you sure? She's not known for her truthfulness."

"I'm sure. You go save the girl. I have to pick up some friends of hers, to protect them from retaliation."

"Friends..." Mattias cut himself off. "Yes, all right. Jett?"

He looked up from his phone, rising. "Got the directions. About fifteen minutes from here."

"Let's go then!" Carman leaped up and hurried for the van, Nae close behind him.

"Taph, you and Jett stay to keep tabs on Kohl," Mattias directed. "Lezvie, do be cautious."

Lezvie nodded and dashed off.

Mattias and his group also dashed off, to get the girl.

Lezvie went to the location Kohl had given him.

It's a fairly rundown apartment building, the door is locked and if/when he knocks, there is no answer, hushed voices and scrambling of feet.

Lezvie calls in the passphrase he was given.

There's a moment of silence, then the sound of several locks being undone and a girl of about eleven peers out. "Who're you?"

"My name's Lezvie. Our mutual friend sent me to collect you. The mob's going to be coming after you, so you need to get disappeared."

Claire gave him a blank look, clearly confused, but a moment later she nods. "Just a minute" She ran from the door, leaving it open as she shouts to someone else. "Flower, get your bag!"

Lezvie glanced into the room, then kept watching the hallways.
