Just a Harmless Little Heist....

"Not quite soon enough, I'm afraid." He set her on the couch. "She got roughed up a bit."

Jenny stared at the others, trembling a bit. "I want to go home."

Nae hurried over to her. "It's all right, we're gonna get you home, don't worry."

"How bad is she hurt?" Julian asked. Jett rose and strode closer, taking in her injuries and calculating them against his medical studies.

Lezvie stepped back and let them work.

Jett squatted down next to Jenny and held his hand out. "My name is Jett," he said, voice calm as ever. "I'm a doctor and I promise I won't hurt you." Jenny stared at him a moment longer before nodding quietly. Jett gave her the briefest of smiles before setting to work checking her injuries, asking questions as he goes. Nae remained next to Jenny for moral support, and the rest of the group stayed back, except for when Jett had Carman bring his medical kit down from his room.

Lezvie took Kohl aside and murmured, "Did you managed to bind your injuries all right?"

Kohl nodded in affirmation, refusing to look directly at Lezvie.

[Doubtful, considering it was her arms he injured.]

"Come upstairs, let me look at them."

[I didn't say she was being truthful, now did I? =P]


"No, they're fine."

"I wasn't asking." Lezvie herds her upstairs into his room.

She frowns, but complies.

He sets her on his bed and gently removes her bandages.

She clenches her jaw and watches closely. Though she did a good enough job bandaging them to prevent infection, it's a pretty rough bandaging.

"Lay back." He prepares his med kit.

"I don't need to lay down."

"Yes, you do." He gave her a look.

She gave him the look right back. "No, I don't."

He pushed her down to the bed. "You do. I'm the doctor here."

She shoved him away, shying as she did so. "All right," she muttered before complying.

"Thank you." He gently unfastened the bandages, including the one on her chest.

She held still, not particularly trusting him, but has decided protesting isn't going to get her anywhere. She kept a close eye on him and briefly wished for her bat.

Lezvie gently cleaned the wound, his touch soft and light and skilled.

She sets her jaw against the pain and continues to watch him closely.

He pulls out a syringe.

She jolted upright. "No."

"It's just an anesthetic. It won't do anything to your mind, or your ability to fight me off or call for help."
