Just a Harmless Little Heist....

Lezvie stood.

Nae got slowly to her feet, feeling pretty useless, and glowers at the man. Carman does the same, staying close to Nae in case she needs protection or support.

"Good." The man motions before striding to the door. "Walk, and do not try anything."

Lezvie followed.

They're led into a spacious, circular room with unmarked, identical doors all around the walls. There's a strange sort of mosaic pattern on the floor, and a corresponding one on the ceiling. No windows. The man leads them without hesitation through one of the doors. This door opens into a long, narrow hallway that is pure, blinding white. Just inside the door, the man stops and motions to a rectangular hole in the wall. "Put your left arm through there, up to your elbow."

Lezvie goes first.

The hole closes in on his arm and hand, securing it completely. There is a sharp pain that shoots from his palm to his elbow, as if a long needle has been stabbed up it. Lastly, there's a pricking on his wrist, like several needles just barely puncturing the skin. Only after that, does the wall release his arm.

He grunts and pulls his hand out as soon as its done, looking at it.

[What exactly did it do?]

There's a black tattoo on his wrist, a few lines of numbers and letters (both foreign and English), with something that looks vaguely like a barcode over those lines.

[Well, it injected him with a stabilizer, to make sure he doesn't have any adverse reactions to the new layer, a set of immunizations, and a tracking device. The tattoo is an identification code.]

[ Just making sure it didn't check his DNA. ]

He scowls at it.

[ XD Nah, if they get suspicious, that's somewhere else. =P Which they might, since he has white hair, actually... ]

The man motioned to Nae and Carman. "Next."

Carman hesitated briefly before stepping to the hole and sticking his arm in. He endures the ordeal, flinching a few times, then withdraws his arm and looks very not happy. Nae goes after him, jaw set and determined not to show that she's pretty freaked. Albeit, she does a bad job of that. All the same, she gets through the arm ordeal with no problems, and the man continues leading them down the hall.

Lezvie goes without making trouble.

Next, they're led into a room filled with neat rows of cubicles. The man leads them down a particular row, then secures them each in separate cubicles. They can't see each other, but are only separated by a thin plastic-like wall. The man stays with Lezvie and motions to a chair.

The cubicle is made up like so: A desk with an array of equipment on it, a chair on Lezvie's side of the desk, and a strict looking woman sitting in a chair on the other side. She and the man chatter at each other for a few minutes in a foreign language before the woman turns to Lezvie and taps what looks like a pair of binoculars. "Look in here."

He sits and looks into the binoculars.

There is a sudden flash of light, like a camera, and the lady says he can look away as she taps on some gizmo attached to the table in front of her.

[Checking his vision. I assume it's good? XP]

[ It's way better than a human's should be. Not quite hawk-good, but really good. ]

The woman frowns and motions at his hair, holding a pair of scissors out to the man [I'm gonna call him Jake 'cause I'm getting tired of calling him "the man" XP]. Jake pinches some of Lezvie's hair and snips it off, then hands it back to the lady.
